This lighter example of Merlot hits with bright, red cherry right up front. Mild aromas of forest floor are followed by savory aromas of cedar and Herbs de Provence. The cherry continues dominantly on the palate with a heavy dose of acidity and minerality. Cigar box characters round out the palate.
• Harvest in September 2018 • Destemmed and cold soaked 24 hour before inoculation • Punchdowns and pumpovers intermixed during an 8 day fermentation • Pressed to barrel and aged for 30 months in neutral French oak • Bottled in April 2020
