Tasting Notes
Deep ruby color with essence of blueberries, tobacco leaf, pepper and lemon on the nose, all following through the palate to a long and bold finish.
Winemaker Notes
The grapes were hand harvested from Deep Sky Vineyard in the Willcox AVA in Fall of 2023.
Destemmed and cold soaked prior to yeast inoculation.
Daily pump-overs during primary fermentation.
Pressed to oak barrels, inoculated for secondary fermentation, and aged 20 months in used, mostly neutral barrels.
A rack and return was performed in Spring 2024.
Wine was racked and bottled in April 2025.
